Lunch Clubs

Our lunch clubs are held on a Monday, Wednesday and Thursday and are a great way to meet people and make new friends. These take place at Waterloo United Free Church Hall, Crosby Road North, L22 0LQ, adjacent to Crosby Central Library. See map for directions

The venue is served by a number of bus routes including the X2 and 47. Parking is available at a small charge at the Sefton Council car park adjacent to Crosby Library and there are a small number of parking spaces immediately outside the Church Hall reserved for those with mobility issues.

Lunch is a set menu served at 12.30pm. There is a small charge for a two course meal and tea or coffee. The Monday club is for those members who have mobility issues and require transport to and from the club.

Lunch club places are limited. If you are interested in attending one of our clubs contact our administrator who will be able to tell you whether a place is available.

Flicks & Friends

Our monthly film event for the over 60s takes place on Tuesday afternoons at the Plaza Community Cinema in Waterloo. There is no need to book and admission is only £1. Just come along, watch a film and make new friends.

These events are very popular, we show current films with attendance levels sometimes reaching four hundred people.

Outings & Holidays

Our outings are designed to bring people together and will vary from month to month. Recent trips have included lunch in Southport, afternoon tea on a canal boat and shopping at Boundary Mill. Currently these outings are available only to registered members.

Our annual holiday caters for current lunch club members who have mobility problems and would not otherwise have the opportunity to have a break away from home. We do not offer personal care but our volunteers will be on hand to offer general assistance. Arrangements for this holiday may vary from year to year.
