If you feel you can assist or support the organisation in any other voluntary capacity such as fundraising, event organising, providing entertainment we would love to hear from you.

Without help we cannot provide the range of services of services for older people in the community. If you wish to make a donation please click the link below.

By leaving a gift to Age Concern Crosby in your will you can help to make sure that older people in the local area continue to benefit from our services in the years to come.

The money we receive covers our running costs and also enables us to subsidise our activities. We employ one part time member of staff who organises and manages our services, however all our lunch clubs, outings and other social events are run by volunteers. We also own a minibus which we use to transport some of our service users to lunch club, outings and the annual holiday.

Age Concern Crosby works with a range of organisations to deliver services.

Members of Soroptimist International Crosby act as volunteer leaders and helpers at our lunch clubs and assist at fundraising events. It was the club which came to the rescue when in 2009 the Wednesday lunch club was in danger of closing because of a lack of volunteers. Several of its members serve as trustees.

Members of Rotary Club Crosby have operated as volunteer drivers for decades. Rotarians Ray Terry, Robert Harrington and Bill Jenkins are among those currently helping. “We at Rotary were asked many years ago by Jean Kerrigan to help and we enjoy meeting and driving diners to the Monday Club. My connection goes back to the mid-seventies‘’ explained Ray.

The Plaza Community Cinema, Waterloo provides the venue for our popular Flicks and Friends service. This was initially set up in partnership with Living Well Sefton and we continue to work closely with them.

We work with Sefton CVS to ensure that appropriate policies and procedures are in place to support our volunteers and our members and Living Well Sefton.
